I'm NOT saying this is fair, I'm saying for the Jets to trade Trouba now this will be their cost.

Krug + ( one of, Zboril or Carlo ) + 2nd rounder

Boston makes sense but I think the Jets will demand a 1st Rd pick back.

Krug, Carlo 2017 1st Rd for Trouba and a 2nd Rd

Bruins have made I think 5 picks in last 2 first rounds they may be willing to move the pick. The draft itself thought to be mediocre at this point.

Why does boston want to give up krug for trouba

What ever the trade may be it just doesnt make sense to me

Edit: why a team wants to give up a lefty fman for a arFA asking for a ton of money

Jets fans will be very dissipointed with what they get for Trouba.

So much for Sweeney and Neely wanting players in Boston that "what to be here," and "wanting and caring about winning and leaving it all on the ice."

I want Trouba, but Krug was our best D-man last season and was just signed at a pretty good RFA contract.

Plus he is a passionate guy that wants to win and a positive locker room guy.

I really hate the Bs management group because nothing they do makes any sense anymore, as they point to one concept or idea today and use the opposite tomorrow.....dumbasses.

Trouba is a potential top pair guy, I get it, but Krug is a solid mid pair guy if he gets a bigger stay at home guy to play with. And the extra Boston has to sent to Pegg makes it silly.

Holy poop

Remember which team has to trade the player here. Winnipeg has very little leverage.

Winnipeg has all the leverage!! they DO NOT HAVE to trade Trouba. If a team wants him they will pay the Jets price, if not then the Jets WILL NOT trade him, why woud anyone think otherwise?

I don't get this, why would Boston have to add to Krug for Trouba? I am not even sure if I was the Bruins I would trade Krug for Trouba straight up.

The Bruins know what they have in Krug and he is a consistent 40+ point dman. Trouba still has some question marks and needs to improve over his last 2 seasons and get more than 20 pts. You also have to think about the contract demand rumours that have been floating around with Trouba as well.

Jets don't need forwards and they will wait for an overpayment. They can let Trouba sit

for Detroit it starts with DeKeyser and then adds on from there; again, not saying it's fair, just speculating what the Jets would accept.

Likely Dekeyser plus 1 of Athanasiou, Svechnikov or Mantha.

Chevy should be in nor rush to accommodate TROUBA. I'd wait until a deal is a must.

agreed but Chevy rarely makes trades and the only example we have of a player requesting a trade from the Jets was Evander Kane. Kane asked for a trade for 3 years before Chevy pulled the trigger and yes, it was an overpayment.

If I knew I'd be sure to let you know, but I've been actively avoiding those threads on non-game days so I'm just as lost.

Kane was also under contract, though. I get that he got a haul last time a remotely similar situation occurred, but you can't expect drastic overpayments like that every time. In my opinion, we should be talking about what constitutes a realistic deal for the guy. As much as you don't want to give him away, assets lose value if they're not playing (Drouin, Johansen, Turris, etc) so holding him out for years just isn't that feasible.

Gotta imagine it's best for all involved to move on from the situation in the form of a good, even hockey trade. I think a package surrounding either Nurse or Sanheim makes the most sense, but I don't know how each looks from the Jets' perspective.

If they want quantity over quality, then yeah, that deal would make sense, but they can probably find dmen as good as DD for a few million less. I like DD, but he's a $3.5M player getting paid $5M.
